New Zealand had never faced the Delta explosion before, and no one knew if past strategies would succeed, writes Guardian, translate Periscope.
And even though there were problems at first, New Zealand is also dealing with the Delta version.
The “looks great for ending this explosion,” says Professor Michael Baker, epidemiologist and public health expert.
The purpose of New Zealand is very ambitious. They try not only to facilitate the increase in cases but to shut it down completely, bringing numbers to zero.
After the peak was reached at the end of August, with 83 cases in the day, there is already a daily decline. In the middle of the week, they fell on 15 occasions, then on 13 and now 11.
