First witness against Salih Mustaf, next Monday

The next Monday will continue trial for war crimes against former Kosovo Liberation Army member Salih Mustafa, where it will begin with witness statements.

So it was made known through a video conference of Kosovo Specialised Chambers, where the trial was said to begin at 09:30.

The Mustafa trial will continue next Monday at 09:30 with testimony from the first witness in this case. The court procedure in this case will continue during the months of September and October, and during the coming week”, Zeri.info reported.

This video conference did not reveal what kind of witnesses will be called at the first session.

“I can only say that he is Prosecutor's Witness”, told the conference.

This trial was meant to continue yesterday, but it was cancelled because this session was scheduled only in case more time was needed for the opening statements.

Because the opening statements were shorter than expected, judges have decided that there should be no previous hearings for Thursday”, it was said in the DHSK's statement on “The Justice Vocition”.

Mustafa has been declared innocent at the session held on September 15th, while the court has called him the Gestapo “Office”.

Otherwise, on June 12, 2020, the indictment against former Kosovo Liberation Army member (UÇK) has been confirmed.

It becomes known that in the confirmed indictment, Salih Mustafa is charged in the context of various forms of criminal responsibility -- for arbitrary bans, cruel treatment, torture and unlawful murder as war crimes committed in the context of the non-international armed conflict in Kosovo, or in connection with that conflict.
