Witness against Cal says that Zlata heard the name “Cali”

The witness claimed that “was Cal who had pointed the gun at him and beat him two days in a row,”

This was said in the final part of the trial session being held in the Specialised Chambers, where prosecutor Caesar Michaczuk has asked additional questions after the defence attorney has completed the questions.

The prosecutor questioned you and I read from your statement when I asked you, but I quote this accused person is the same person as the first time, so the person wearing the red hat or someone else? Your answer was, but he was, Cali, he was the guy who put a gun on me. Then the prosecutor asked you what happened at some point to hear another member of the KLA address this guy by his name or by any name, the answer was if I heard one, I remember one person who once said it, here's Cali”, the prosecutor said.

He has asked the witness to confirm if he has heard Cal's name while holding it in Zlata.

You've heard Cal say it again. Witness: Yes”

Responding to the prosecutor, the witness has confirmed that one of the reasons he thinks the accused is the person responsible is that he has heard his name there.

When you remember that time about those two beatings that you were given there in Dallas and you witnessed to them yesterday and Monday, was there anything of that person who beat you, or the way he was so cool that he made you think he was a commander, why you thought he was a commander, what you saw in his behavior that made you think he was Commander<1>, the prosecutor asked.

But the witness said that he didn't know that person but heard the word spoken there commander.

In fact, I didn't know who that person was, but I heard him say he was the commander, and on the basis of the signs, the red hat and the uniform I knew he was and that person beat me up, he took me into the room, sent me nalt beat me up, said the witness.

While in the preliminary part of the session when the witness answered the defence attorney's questions, he did not show any description of the person with the hat and had claimed to have heard a name on one occasion, but at the hearing he did not say what it was.

The trial chamber concluded the session for today until it announced that they continue tomorrow at 11:30.

Salih Mustafa, known in war as “Commander Cali” is the first arrested by the Special and this is the first trial in Specialised Chambers.
