On Wednesday, trial against Salih Mustafa Special appoints 9 court hearings against him within two weeks

On Wednesday, 15 September, former Kosovo Liberation Army soldier Salih Mustafa will appear before Special Court judges at his first trial session. But the fact is that against Mustafa, within September 15th to 28th, 9 court hearings to Salih [...] have been scheduled.

Mustafa was arrested in September 2020, meanwhile, the Special Court through a communique indicated that the indictment was confirmed against the same. He was also the first Special Arrester.
“Salih MUSTAFA was arrested in Kosovo today by the Specialised Prosecutor's Office on the basis of a warrant for arrest, order for transfer and confirmed indictment, issued by a court of preliminary procedure of Kosovo's Specialised Chambers”, said in special announcement.
But who is Salih Mustafa?
Mustafa has been part of the organisation of the National Liberation Movement since 1988, under the leadership of Africa Dzitia, Fahri Fazlia and Fadil Vata.
During the illegal activity, he was arrested by Slobodan Milosevic's regime in 1993 and sentenced to 5 years in prison for organising the armed uprising.
In August 1997, after ending his prison sentence, Mustafa was committed to organising and expanding the KLA in the Pristina region, Obilicqi, Gjilan, Kamenica's Year.
He has led the KLA guerrilla units under the name BIA guerrilla until the establishment of operations zones of Llap and Karadaku.
Mustafa has been an associate of Bahri Fazli, Agron Candman, Ilir Konushevci, Raif Cela, Fatmir Humolli, Isa Kastrat of many other KLA 911 figures.
Salih Mustafa has been one of the founders of the LCQC.
He served as head of the Kosovo Protection Corps intelligence department, then as intelligence adviser to Prime Minister Agim Ceku.
What is Salih Mustafa accused of by the Special?
After the arrest, the Special Court through a brief media announcement had indicated what Salih Mustafa is accused of.
The confirmed “Acuza stipulates that approximately between April 1st 1999 and April 19, 1999, at a detention complex in Zlatko, Kosovo, arbitrary crimes, cruel treatment and torture against at least six people were committed. Also, the indictment says that on a date between April 19, 1999, or about this date, and about the end of April 1999, a detainee was killed at that location. In the confirmed indictment, Salih Mustafa is charged with various forms of criminal responsibility for -- arbitrary ban, cruel treatment, torture and unlawful murder as war crimes committed in the context of the non-international armed conflict in Kosovo, or in connection with that conflict.”, the Special's announcement of the indictment against Mustafa said.
