New Anti-Summent Measures Entered into force from August 30th - CO VID, where any person who intends to enter Kosovo must possess any evidence as the certificate of vaccination, negative PCR test, quick antigen test, or evidence that the person has passed COVID-19 no more than 180 days. Also, Kosovo citizens in the event of failing to possess any of the evidence must be self-aware for seven days.
One of the people who was not allowed to enter Kosovo due to the failure to possess any of the evidence was Rexhep Leshi from Debra, who indicated he returned from customs officers.
However, he said he respects the measures taken by the Kosovo Government and that they are needed due to cases with COVID-19.
I was told without a test being allowed to cross the border, a test must be made to cross the border... Forced to take the test, there was no other obligation, no other way to pass without a test there was”, he said.
Nor was citizen Izet Leshi of Lushnja allowed to enter Kosovo in the absence of a certificate of vaccine and testimony to the negative test.
Later, he seized the opportunity to take the rappid test at the border point, as the only way to enter Kosovo.
“We left to go to Rahovec, we had some work and we were not allowed to, we returned for the test, and we were forced to come to the test”, he said.
Kosovo citizens who returned to the country but did not own any of the evidence required by government decision could also choose self-isolation for seven days. The same only met the declaration under oath that self-awareness and access to Kosovo territory would be allowed.
Edis Bajzak, a resident of Prizren, along with his family returning from the holiday, fulfilled the statement that in seven days they would be self-aware and the same allowed to enter the country.
There was no problem, we came from vacation, they wrote me a form that should be self-insulated a week because I don't have a vaccine... I don't have a test PCR, I don't even have a shot, so I'm supposed to be alone for a week at home... The whole family, we all need to identify”, he said.
Meanwhile, those who owned vaccine certificates, test evidence The PCR or fast test had no problem entering Kosovo's territory.
With the presentation of the testimony of the negative test, citizen Armen Elez of Kukes entered Kosovo without a problem.
“We had arranged that we were informed of the tightening of the measures. It's just a little bureaucratic, it takes a little bit of time, but maybe it's also necessary that document control is delayed. But we still had a good time... I personally had a test, and these two had certificates of vaccine”, he showed.
Problems following the presentation of documents required to enter Kosovo did not even have citizen Ylber Trsalla from Kukes.
I didn't have any problems, I'm okay with all things, with tests on all things... They asked us for a test, and no problems -- 11x1>, he took a chance.
Even citizen Fatos Jasiqi from Gjakova returning from vacation did not have trouble entering Kosovo because he owned the vaccine certificate.
We were asked (the vaccine evidence), we have all of it, we have the vaccine, the certificates we have everything in order”, he said.
Following the Kosovo Government's decision that every person entering Kosovo should possess evidence as the certificate of vaculation, the test negative PCR or rapid test, today citizens could take the quick test after a private laboratory started working.
The Elvis Hemqi lab showed that the price for the test is 25 euros and added how the first day there was no large number of citizens who have sought to take the test.
“Today is the first day that we have started our operations at the customs station in Morina. There are few numbers currently running tests, we don't know what it's going to be going to be like because of the flow it might have at the customs point... The subject is licensed to perform, and we are currently operating at other points, finally at Morina's point, as the criteria have also been determined to possess the test result or the vaccine certificate to cross the border... The price is the same as applied in all clinics, in all of Albania's cities, is 3 thousand dollars, or 25 euros”, he said.
On the other hand, those from Kosovo who went to Albania were not required any documents regarding COVID-19. That will be so in a few days, as by September 6th, Albania will apply the measures of reciprocity, and Kosovo citizens will have to present the same evidence as they enter Kosovo.
Citizen Labinot Shulinin from Rahoveci, who was headed towards Albania, said that today they had asked him nothing to cross the Kosovo-Albania border.
We have no problems, we are going to Tirana, but here in Albania they haven't told us a good time, leave the money in Albania, Kosovo closes the good day as long as”, he said.
Starting on September 6th, citizens entering the Republic of Albania from all border points must meet one of these three conditions: 1. Have the vaccine passport, with at least two weeks to complete inoculation date. 2. Have the PCR test negative within 72 hours or the rapid antigen test within 48 hours. 3. To have evidence of the crossing of Sars-Cov2 infection, worth up to six months after recovery. These rules are also valid for citizens who cross transit to Albania. Children until six years of age do not follow these rules.
Albanian residents of Albania, who return and do not have one of the above documents, must be self-aware for 10 days and inform health authority to conduct a test at the end of the period of isolation.
