It is the first official in Western governments to retreat after the chaos that was triggered when the Taliban took power in Afghanistan.

Dutch MPs passed a censorship motion against her, saying the government was too slow to respond and left behind many Afghans who had to leave, reports the BBC, translates Periscopi.

Mrs. Kaag said she stayed behind her actions but accepted the MP verdict.

She acknowledged that the government was slow in the process in question.

Hundreds of Afghans of local staff and people who had worked as translators for Dutch troops have already remained in Afghanistan under the Taliban regime. /Periscope
