A rescue worker told the Italian news agency Ansa that the scene is apocalypse. Local media reported that the storm destroyed a road along the coast, writes BBC, broadcast newspaper Express.
The civil protection agency said that among the victims there is a fireman who was off duty, while the other deceased is an 86-year-old man. The Ansa agency reported that they were both driving in the weather.
By contrast, the island of Panteleria is known for its volcanic rocks and hot springs and is a favorite place for famous figures.
Although tornadoes do not remind Europe, hundreds of sosh are believed to beat the continent every year. Many of them are not reported because they hit extreme rural areas.
