For SBASK concern is the potential lack of teachers with COVID-19 and chronically ill, but also pregnant people who, by government decision, are relieved of their performance. Meanwhile, from the central level it has been said that all staff should return to schools since Monday.
And while learning is expected to be held in groups in classrooms that have more than 20 students, according to data from the United Education, Science and Culture Union, 93.6% of teachers are to vaccinate at least with one dose of the vaccine.
Some of them, however, are immune for several months.
The deputy chairman of the United Education, Science and Culture Union, Ymer Ymer, in a proposal for KosovoPress, indicated that they support the Government's measures regarding the teaching process, which will begin from Monday.
According to him, however, concern is the potential lack of teachers.
“We like the SBASK support the Government's decision with the Health Ministry's proposal for the start of the new school year with a loss of 18 days of education from the previous way as a new school year began, but how many schools prepared may be in two parts, in the technical part of school preparation, school facilities, and the rest of them as prepared with textbooks, perhaps with the first piece of textbooks, I can say they are prepared as they were every other time, and I can say that conditions are met for the start of the new school year. We have the suspicion that on the other hand educational directors may not be prepared to have their absence on the start of the school year, primarily on Monday, such as pregnant teachers, who are released with the Government's decision to present themselves in the workplace, then we have the rest of the teachers who are infected during these days with COVID-19, the rest of the teachers who have chronic diseases but also a part of the teachers, because it's an election campaign, and part of the teachers are on the election lists for the local elections, the YOCHOVID, the YOXMER has declared.
He adds that 93.6% of teachers are vaccinated with at least one dose of vaccine.
Our data shows that 93.6% of teachers with yesterday have been vaccinating at least one dose of vaccine, we add to this number that in five months they've been positive with COVIID who haven't been in charge for six months by taking the vaccine up to 95%, considering that even those teachers who have been passing and having a negative test for months and they're allowed to come to school,” he added.
Kosovo Communist Association Director Saban Ibrahimi also supports measures taken at the central level, including the beginning of the learning process.
“All municipalities are implementing in full measures that we have agreed on with the central level and the beginning of their implementation will take place since Monday. We've requested that the learning process with physical presence begin from this Monday and we've agreed to the central level that this will happen. But if there are more than 20 students in one class, there will be two groups of instruction. We have also raised concerns about pregnant teachers and teachers who have chronic illnesses, but from the central level it has been said that all staff should return to schools since Monday, namely, pregnant teachers and teachers who have chronic illnesses should also return to school. But access to objects can be done if they're vaccinated or if they have negative PCR test”, he said.
Hope Shala, education director in the Pristina municipality, for Kosova Prees, said schools are technically ready.
The information and visits we've made to all schools and supplies we've done in all schools, technically the schools are ready. Also, yesterday we've been introduced to the tax meeting, and it's set up for the script, which is part of the villages where there are fewer students, it's going to be 40 minutes, where all students will be back to school. And the part of the city according to the new scenario A, the clock will be from 30 minutes with two groups in a” class, she has declared.
And Health Minister Arben Vitita has warned that tests of students and teachers will constantly be made.
“will continue to be tested by students and teachers in schools, but mainly in schools where there are more students because of course there is a great opportunity to distribute infection”, he said.
Meanwhile, media have reported that protest organisers in the country's north have decided not to start the education process on September 27th.
This decision, expected to be published soon, is primarily propagandistic, presenting the situation heavy on Serbian children.
The fundamental reason, however, is to keep teachers as part of protesters. / KP
