Technical dialogue returns tomorrow, this is the debate agenda.

Technical dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia will return tomorrow with the new round of discussions. In Brussels, Kosovo's delegation of experts, led by Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislim, over two days, on September 7th and 8th, will present Kosovo's position and requirements on the issue of forcibly missing people, the energy agreement [...]

These last two will be presented to the EU at the bilatheral meeting, while the issue of the missing will be the only topic of discussion at the trilateral meeting with the director of the so-called office for Kosovo under the Government of Serbia, Petar Petkov.

However, scepticism dominates the connoisseurs of the dialogue process for this new round of dialogue.

The date of meetings and the agenda of discussing the new round of dialogue confirmed for Kosova Preris, the Kosovo Government's spokesman, Kryeziu Progress.

“Bilateral Challenges and the next trilate under the dialogue process, in which Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi is expected to be held tomorrow and the day after tomorrow, about 7 September and 8 September. At the bilatheral meeting, it will be discussed implementing the agreement on energy and car signs, as well as on the issue of the missing by force. And in that trilate, we expect to discuss only the case of the missing men with force, as the only topic agreed on by”, he said through a written response to Kosovo Preress.

Such technical dialogue reasons Arber Fetah from the Group for Jurydic and Political Studies, but says they are necessary only for specific issues and should not last indefinitely.

The technical “Dialolog comes as the definition of the EU and the compliance of the two sides for the technical level to go to two levels, technical or expert levels, and the high political level with top state leaders, respectively, the prime minister and president. I believe Kosovo, despite demands for technical conversations, is necessary to deal with specific issues that may not have to be consumed at the high level, but we believe Kosovo needs political solutions because the problem is political... there is no need to go to technical dialogue and specific topics. But, however, Kosovo should be prepared even at these technical levels, to have the position and requirements understood”, Fetah says.

The most sceptical of these technical meetings is expressed by the connoisseur of the dialogue process, Dritero Arifi, who says of KosovoPress, that technical dialogue has had to be more advanced inmatic and time terms.

According to him, technical meetings have lost meaning because there is no results.

The technical level should be much more advanced inmatic and time. If we talk about the dead when it starts and when it ends. We're not knowing what has been discussed for 11 years for the missing, this comes back to Serbia, the more we talk about the found out, Serbia's going to have much more...technical relationships have just lost its meaning, absolutely zero with the result because we don't have a measuring indicator... We have to go to the Filipian, we have to look for the finals as quickly as possible because of the change of EU structures and the change of concepts”, Arifi adds.

This is the second consecutive meeting at the level of experts within the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, while it has been warned that in September the summit between Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq is expected to be held.
