Zaev, who signed 11 bilateral agreements with his Kosovo counterpart, did not back down in his decision that has been sharply criticised in Kosovo.
Kosovo is independent, sovereign state and builds its own positions which we respect. I believe there should be dialogue in the Balkans. We believe different agreements have to be reached. So we will reinforce the road to the EU”, Zaev has indicated.
But he went further.
Our country has shown great courage in achieving this goal. The Balkans are not a planted bomb. I am convinced that dialogue and diplomacy, the outstretched hand is the future of a part of the Balkans”.
