A media communiqué says that in the police operation, which is under way at the country's level, including the northern part of Kosovo, only Kosovo Police officials are involved.
“The claims and speculations of some Serbian media that other security agencies are involved in this operation are false”, Kosovo Police point out.
Furthermore, Kosovo Police say that as a law enforcement institution, based on its legal and constitutional duties and authorisations, it is committed to maintaining order, ensuring public security, as well as, among other things, management and control of the country's border flow.
Serbs have rejected the move of the license plates, keeping roads blocked leading to border crossings in northern Kosovo, Jarinje and Brnjak.
On Monday, the Special Operational Unit has been placed at the point of the old border crossing between Kosovo and Serbia, in Jarinje in the Leposaviqi municipality, to monitor the situation as a result of blocking roads by Serbs from that country.
Under the government's decision, all cars that have so far had Serbia's license plates must replace them with “RKS”, license plates of the Republic of Kosovo”, if they want to circulate within the country.

In order to carry out police tasks and authorisations, necessary operational planning takes place in certain operations, including human and logistical resources planning, depending on nature and operational need.
It is noteworthy that in the police operation, which is being carried out at the country level, including in the northern part of the Republic of Kosovo, only Kosovo Police officials are involved, while the claims and speculations of some Serbian media that other security agencies are also involved in this operation are false.
Therefore, Kosovo police are aimed at informing fair public opinion, through this official information reacts and immediately exposes the writings of some Serbian media/portals.
