Serbian citizens who are protesting the decision have also joined Serbian List Chairman Goran Rakic, as well as mayors of municipalities Leposavic and North Mitrovica.
Rakiq called on Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic to help people and react to opportunities.
“I call on all those who have gathered to refrain and also Pristina not to raise tensions. This is a direct threat to people who are concerned about how to provide bread for their children. We also briefed Special Envoy for Dialogue Miroslav Lajcak and asked for EU assistance. I call on President Vucic to react to”, he added.
Reaction has also come from the other leader of the Serbian List, Slavko Simic, who has called this action of the Kosovo police “action force”.
“Citizens in northern Kosovo are concerned by this demonstration of force”, Simic told Pink TV.
