The coal burning is the main crime, according to researchers, and India is the worst affected.
China, despite measures taken to reduce contaminated air, continues to have problems as well, reports The Guardian, Periscope.
The burning of crude fuels is causing polluted air and climate crisis, but nations have greater power to reduce polluted air within their borders. The climate crisis is making air pollution more difficult through forest fires, scientists have said.
The polluted sky is the biggest external threat to human health on the planet,” Professor Michael Greenston of Chicago University said.
On average, a citizen will be lost by 2.2 years of life with current air levels polluted if nothing changes. This means that 17 billion years of life will be lost. /Periscope
