Recharged hospitals in Kosovo, several patients with COVID are required to release beds

Director of duty at Ferizaj Hospital Halit Gerbeshi has told Express they are at maximum limits in the hospital.

He has said that they are managing the situation with difficulty due to limited capacities until he showed that only six beds for patients infected with COVID-19 were available today.

Gerbush has indicated that as well as the past few days have asked some patients to be released from the hospital and receive treatment at home.

Gerbashi has indicated that they are discussing alternatives if they cannot afford the large flow of patients.

While the director of Prizren Hospital, Africa Avdaj has also said they have large numbers of hospital patients with COVID-19.

The Avdaj has also indicated that they have hospitalised patients in departments where other diseases are treated and that despite huge capacities, they have not turned back any patients who need hospitalization.

“We have hospitalised patients not COVID even for treatment in the surgery department, in the gynecology department, patients in pediatric neonatology, which means that we are working with almost huge capacities if the hospital continues to work and there are room for treatment of other patients. Within the capacities we have so far, it has never happened that any patients who have hospitalization indicators do not have beds or seats to host”, he added.

There's a large number of hospital patients in Gjilan.

The director of this hospital, Edsim Emini, has declared that a large number of patients are in serious health condition.

“128 is the number of patients that have been today, 110 are in oxygen therapy. We have a large number of patients in serious condition. Emini has stressed that they still have free beds for patients who are seeking hospitalization, until it has indicated that they are managing the situation thanks to the commitment of health staff, especially to nurses.

On the other hand, because of the large number of patients, Pec's hospital has had to release other areas that have been available to patients with other diseases, as well as those where meetings are held.

In this hospital, the beds of the Infectives, Pulmology, Psychiatry, Dermatology, Internos, Nurology, ORL, Otamology and part of the Emergency Departments and Orthopedic and Urology.

From Paya's hospital, they have told the newspaper that new spaces are available for patients with COVID, although their admission has not yet begun.

The same situation as in regional hospitals is in the COVID clinics of the University Clinical Centre in Kosovo.

In the Pulmology Clinic and the Infective for several days, there has been a lot of capacity and no room for accepting other patients.

Kosovo's Clinical and University Hospital Service has indicated that 1,000 and 233 are now extended to COVID clinics and general hospitals, 83 of which are in serious health condition.
