Rama's right arm, the man of three cabinets

Prime Minister Edi Rama formed today the new government that will lead Albania in the next four years. Four major changes in the cabinet are noted. In his first term, he served as Minister of Economic Development, Tourism, Trade and Entrepreneurship during September 2013-February 2016. From February 2016 to January 2019, Ahmetaj was entrusted with another position of great importance in the government -- the keys to the country's finances.
From December 2019 and next, Arben Ahmetaj took another responsibility by leading the State Ministry for Reconstruction, after a year in running the Parliamentary Commission for Economy and Finance. The work done in the reconstruction process, prompted Prime Minister Edi Rama to decide on the right.
Also, Arben Ahmetaj will be political director even of the Vlora district, replacing Damian Gjiknur.
But what is Ahmetaj's career in the SP before being appointed to executive posts?
Arben Ahmetaj was born on June 28th 1969 in the town of Gjirokastra. It bears the title Medical Security Doctor, a 2009 graduate at the University of Bucharest, Romania. Earlier she graduated from the International Finance Branch, International Financial Markets, near Edmund A. Wales School of Foreign Service, Georgetown University, Washington, D. C# source files He has conducted Master's studies at the International Trade and Diplomacy branch at Patterson School of International Trade and Diplomacy, University of Kentucky, Lexington. In 1991 he completed his studies at the University of Tirana, the School of Foreign Language, in the English branch, American and English literature.
Ahmetaj has a series of professional and interscored qualifications in a series of areas such as “Development Policy”, awarded by the International Development Centre at Harvard Kennedy School at Harvard University; “Ecconomix of Technology”, Kokkalis programme at Harvard Kennedy School at Harvard University; Farmer Financing Programs Farmers Credit Union of Texas, Texas University, Austin, Texas and so on. He has a long career in public administration in some important positions, while his political commitment begins with the Student Movement of 1990.
In 2004- 2005 he held the post of Deputy Minister at the Ministry of European Integration, while in the period 2003-2004 that of the Deputy Minister of Energy and Industry. Ahmetaj was the Director-General of the General Tax Directorate in 1998-1999, while earlier served as Head of the Cabinet at the Ministry of Finance and responsible for international relations, member of the negotiating co-ordination group with the Monetary Fund and for concreteising the post conflict agreement with ESAF. In 2009, he was elected MP in Korca, in 2013 in the Gjirokastra district, in the June 2017 elections, was elected district deputy Tirana, representing the Kokit Rrogozhina and Kavaja, and on 25 April, Tirana.
