Rada Trajkovic speaks of the situation in the north: I'm so afraid there may be victims

Trajkovic, shortly after the end of the Security Council meeting by Aleksandar Vuciq, in conversation for the newspaper Blic, says he is very concerned about the entire current situation in northern Mitrovica.

Trajkovic says that it does not need Albanians or Serbs either, while praying that there are no victims.

I'm very worried. We have had cases from the past when police were introduced and there have been killed and shot”, says Trajkovic, while adding that Albanians and Serbs need calm and tolerance. I'd say the situation is very disturbing. We've seen things like this in the north before, where people have gone to the streets. And I have no idea who's saving it and who's scared of it. We have very bad experiences from the past because there's been gunfights. We're on campaign now. Also, the Serbian Army has moved towards Kosovo's administrative line, and this does not calm people. This is the biggest disaster. We are the people of Kosovo, who have experienced everything. For us, it's enough of these very stressful situations”, Traykovitch said.

Also, for us it's a lot of hate. Believe that in these moments there are people of Kosovo, because I would say that Kosovo is becoming the black hole in the region, because both Serbs, Montenegrins and Bosniaks, are increasingly bypassing the journey through Kosovo”, Trajkovic told Blic newspaper.

Trajkovic says Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has implemented the agreement he agreed with years ago, Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq and Marko Djuric. I think Albin Kurti, implemented the 2016 agreement and moved into the reciprocity phase, because it has since been accepted by negotiators Vuciq and Djuric. The basis on which this was accepted has been the principle reached in the agreement between Macedonia and Greece for recognition of the name. However, in case we know signs “RKS”, then we recognize Kosovo subjectivity”.

Trajkovic points out, however, that he does not believe Kurt will withdraw from the decision. They add that the risk increases because there are local elections in Kosovo and general in Serbia, and that, according to it, Albin Kurti and Aleksandar Vucinqi agree on such a situation. Trajkovic says Kurti and Vuciq are trying to benefit electorally, while the Serbian president calls the person surrounded by monstrous killers. “I think Albin Kurti will not be averted from the decision, because there are local elections in Kosovo, but we also have new general elections in Serbia. On the other hand, in terms of elections in Serbia, Vuciq is being oppressed by large criminal ties and must confirm that his cabinet is made up of monstrous killers. This is what scares me the most: that there will be no compromise between the two politicians (Albin Kurti é Alexander V.j.), because the two of them are faced with this situation because of the elections. This is a very difficult time. Someone has to answer politically, and my wish is that this pass without conflict”, Traykovic said in the end.
