President Osmani meets Germany's ambassador, talks situation in the north

Osmani, paraphrased to have told the German ambassador that the presence of police forces in the country's north is in service to maintain order and public calm for all.

The president of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has hosted Germany's ambassador, Jörn Rohde, to whom they talked about the security situation in the country, with particular emphasis in the country's north today. President Osmani stressed that the Republic of Kosovo in no case has provoked or created tensions, and that the presence of police forces in the north is in service of maintaining order and public calm for all citizens indiscriminately. According to President Osmani Serbia through discours and promotional actions, it is trying to destabilise the country's north”, the Presidenca communique said.

Furthermore, President Osmani reportedly reaffirmed the commitment of the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo to implement sweeping reforms in the area of rule of law as the precondition for sustainable development and further advancement in the Euro-Atlantic integration process.

“President Osmani has also congratulated Ambassador Rohde for the election process in Germany, stressing that the Republic of Kosovo is always ready for deepening co-operation with German institutions”, the communiqué says.

During yesterday, it was reported that Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani has been reproved by the US State Department for Kosovo Police Action in the north. But these news has been described as false by Osman's adviser, Donjatta Miftari.
