The latest design of results shows that the centre's leftist have won more than the most votes compared to past elections, while conservatives have lost the most, writes DW.
The SPD leads with 25.5% of the vote, the CDU has 24.5%, while the Gelbra have 13..8%.
The far right party, AfD, has 10.9% according to results.
Final results are expected to appear near midnight.
