Police provide details about the action where 17kg of marijuana were confiscated

The Kosovo Police Investigation Department (PK) has implemented two successful police operations today, which have resulted in the arrest of six suspected persons and the seizure of about 17kg of narcotics-type marijuana.

According to police, the first operation was conducted in the Pristina and Prizren region, by the Directorate for Trafficking in Narcotics, which after intensive investigation has resulted in the arrest of three (3) suspected persons, as well as the seizure of about (17) seventeenkg of narcotics and marijuana.

Initially police officials in the Pristina-Peje magistrate have stopped the suspect's vehicle, where, during the search, they had found a total of about (12) kg, narcotics substance and then during the search and raid on suspected persons' residential locations, at one of them were found and seized even (5.746.3) kg, narcotics.

In quality of material evidence, narcotic substances totaling more than (17) kg, a (1) car, two (2) scales, three (3) telephones, and cash worth 470 euros.

The competent prosecutor's decision to them has initiated the case “Blerje, possession, distribution and unauthorized selling of psychotrope or analog”.

While the second operation was conducted in the Pristina region, by the Directorate for Investigation of Economic Crimes and Corruption, which has resulted in the arrest of three (3) suspected persons, two (2) of them employees at the central procurement agency, on suspicion of involvement in bribery and misuse of official office.

Police operations have been carried out in co-ordination and co-operation with competent prosecutors.

Kosovo police continue their dedication and commitment, in preventing criminal activities, the destruction of criminal groups and bringing alleged persons' justice bodies to justice.
