The next few weeks may be crucial to which age groups should be vaccinated and which are not.
Pfizer and BioNTech are planning to request FDA permission in the coming weeks to vaccinate children from five to 11 years of age, Periscope follows.
Dr. Ozlem Turec of BioNTech has said that the vaccine will be the same as approved for adults, only that the smaller ones will use it.
Currently, doses from Pfizer have only been approved for those over 12. That happens in European and US countries.
Parents are said to be divided by 50/50 in attitudes on whether their children should be vaccinated or not.
In the United States, children make up 0.1% of the victims. /Periscopi/
