Polaska through a Facebook post has said the only difference between the February 14th central elections and the 17th local elections is the result of ruling party polls.
“Sic is being seen, the February 14th elections could be historic as well as the latest free elections in Kosovo. Otherwise, the only difference between the February 14th central elections and the 17th local elections is the result of the ruling party's” polls, Pallaska said.
For this reason, we can only have elections from now on when polls prefer the ruling party”, he concluded.
Kurti has said local elections are not like central ones., reasoning on the VV's request to hold elections among the pandemic last year. He has also said that a new wave is expected during the coming months.
“We are in observation of the pandemic situation so that this improvement will not be halted and in order not to have new waves because the delta version is exclusive in the months of October and December. We're about to postpone elections. However, we do not impose our stand and we will agree with any solution. It's not local elections like central elections. Not only one candidate is voted but more and there is a run-off and there is only one round to vote. We seek to hear the opinion of health experts. We have expressed our position as a subject and should expect to complete consultative meeting”, Kurti said.
