Kurti: LVV is due to delay local elections
The LVV chairman, who is also the country's prime minister, had said after meeting with Osman that the subject he is leading is to respect doctors' opinion and postpone elections.

“We are for respecting the professional assessment of the National Public Health Institute, signed by 11 doctors in all, which is for the postponement of elections. Kurti had indicated that local elections are not like the central ones.

Kurti, however, has said they will not impose their stance on delaying elections.
“We have expressed the position as a subject and we should expect to complete consultative meeting”, Kurti said.
Krasniqi: I don't think there will be any delay in elections
Chairman PDK, Memli Krasniqi, has declared that as a political party, the election campaign can be held in just a few days, or even in the annulment of the entire campaign, but not even of election day.
He after meeting political parties with Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani has announced the PDK's stance on the election campaign.
“We have expressed the stance that we are willing to cut the campaign completely or even completely suspend the conventional campaign of meetings and public gatherings, that there be rigorous respect for measures imposed by the Government and recommended by relevant health institutions, but also required that the vaccine of electoral troops, commissions be given priority so that they are protected and not at risk of carrying infection on election day. He said opposition parties have expressed readiness to have no election campaign, but that he said such support was not received by LVV chairman.
“Opositum was expressed that we did not campaign at all or just a few days, but we did not receive such confirmation or readiness from LVV chairman Albin Kurti, while I think there will be no postponement of the election process... there was no correct proposal for any set date”, Krasniqi said.
Obadiah: Good day for democracy not postponed elections
LDK chairman Lumir Abdixhiku has said there has been no agreement at the meeting about delaying the election date.
He has said that at the meeting they express themselves about the pandemic and the large number of deaths from COVID-19.
According to him, this situation has come from government's existing management.
“in the current situation, I have made a proposal for cutting the election campaign and as you have been informed I have received answers from the AAK and the PDK. I didn't get an answer from Kurt. We have made decisions like the LDK that we will exercise campaign for 5 days or at all. We believe that a scenario for postponing elections does not lead to execution because democracy is in question. There was no compliance with the postponement of elections and this is a good day for democracy”, he has said.
Obadiah stressed that democracy triumphed.
“I hope that such a decision will remain in the days ahead of”, Obadiah said.
Nitay: Elections will not be postponed, no consensus
AAK official Muharrem Nitaj after the presidency meeting has declared that elections will be held on the previous date with the Constitution.

Nitaj says Kurti had also declared that he would not impose his stand.

Meanwhile, parties from non- forward communities have expressed different positions about delaying local elections.
As far as the New Democratic Party has declared that elections should be held in the spring, the Ashkali Party for Integration has called the idea of postponement meaningless.
Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister, at the same time chairman of the political subject the New Democratic Party, Emilia Rexhepi, has declared they favour delaying elections until spring.
But, contrary to this, Qazim Candman has been expressed by the Ashkali Party for Integration, which spoke out against delaying local elections.
