Osman meets farewell with Ambassador Costnett, decorating it at a “Dr order. Ibrahim Rugova”

Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani has celebrated US Ambassador to Pristina Philip S. Kostett, for the contribution given to building peace and developing democracy in the country.

Thanking him for the unspoiled work and extremely active engagement during his mission to our country, Osmani said that the work of Ambassador Costnet and his staff are equally important contributors to maintaining Kosovo high in the US foreign policy agenda.

The parties also discussed the deep and strategic reports between the two countries, with cerrast President Osmani praising that we are already in a new stage of bilate co-operation, which creates remarkable opportunities for opening new co-operation chapters in the years ahead.

In this case, Ambassador Costnet expressed deep gratitude for his work assessment and confirmed that the report between Kosovo and the United States will always be strong and incompetable.

At the meeting, the parties also praised the fact that the ratio between our two countries is gradually developing with a new, promising dynamic, where Kosovo is becoming more active partners and contributors to different strategic processes.

In this context, the recent decision by Kosovo institutions for the hospitality of Afghan citizens, the KSF's commitment to peacekeeping missions held by the American Army was ascribed, as well as Kosovo's active involvement in the war on terrorism.

Otherwise, the president of the United States, Joe Biden, has nominated for new ambassador to Kosovo Jeffrey M. Havenier.

Hüvenier, who is expected to replace current Ambassador Costnet, is a career diplomat of American foreign service who has been part of the UN Special Envoy's staff for Kosovo status.
