LDK Chairman Lumir Abdixhiku has said he has been following developments in the country's north with concern and that he has been in contact with Prime Minister Kurti. Abdixhiku has said they have expressed full readiness to help the government by asking Prime Minister Kurti to call political parties at the meeting.
Over the past five days, the LDK has been closely following developments in the country's north. During this time, my colleagues and I have been in contact with Prime Minister Kurti, Chief Parliamentary Konjufca and other government officials. In these communications, except that we've expressed concern about the security situation, our boys in uniform there, we've requested and clarified about Government plans on managing the situation. Above all, as the LDK has expressed full readiness, to help in all the capacities we have, the country's government”, he wrote.
The first LDK approach indicated that the situation in the north requires complete unity by proposing Prime Minister Kurti to invite political parties for the meeting.
The tense situation in the north requires complete unity, so I propose that the prime minister gather the political spectrum in the country, to invite parliamentary parties to the meeting indiscriminately, in order to use all of our chapters, local and foreign, to protect our state interests today. I also call on the international community, our allies, to do all they can to avoid Serbia's threats and tensions in the country's north”, he has said.
