Adri Nurellar of the Democratic Party of Kosovo has commented on the latest media news about the expiration of 130 thousand vaccines, considering it proof of the failure of the Vetevendosje Government strategy to instrumentise vaccines as part of the election campaign. According to him, this government has tried to imitate Edi Rama, who successfully used mass vaccine weeks before elections to win votes. According to him “as well as Albania's prime minister, the current prime minister left the import and management of vaccines for the last moment, hoping to serve as ace in the sleeve for votes”

Nurellar, who was elected Secretary for Programmental Policy a few days ago. The PDK, notes that the Vetevendosje government has failed to imitate the Socialist government's successful electoral strategy, primarily because it cannot manage, as the diplomatic service situation is showing. Also for the failure of the vaccine, he also blames Minister Vitita, who he says has neglected the post of health minister to deal with the Pristina election campaign.

Recently, PDK chairmanship member stresses that the current government is exceeding the LDK's predecessor with the failure to manage pandemic. He says that for this government, confrontation with pandemic has been much easier than for the government of Hoti, because it has been a year since the start of pandemic and the virus is more familiar and medical protocols and effective measures to confront it have already been tested.

The complete text of his post is as follows:

The news that 130 thousand vaccines have expired, rather than being given to endangered citizens, shows that the Vetevendosje government is failing with the electoral strategy to use vaccines as an election campaign imitated by Edi Rama in Albania. In vain, poor citizens try to appoint terms to vaccinate, while vaccines have been irresponsibly wasted. So because of the desire to leave vaccines to be injected near the elections it actually led to their expiration. Just as the prime minister of Albania did, Kosovo's prime minister left the import and management of vaccines for the last moment, hoping to serve as an ace in the sleeve for votes. Rama did this this year by importing large amounts of vaccines and starting their mass injection just weeks before the elections. Even like Rama, the current government rejected early offers for vaccines from other countries, just because it planned to use them in the pre-election period to increase popularity by being sold as a savior.

But unlike Albania, the current Kosovo government failed to instrumentise vaccines so that citizens' lives for electoral purposes, and the situation is all out of control. First, it's about managerial disabilities, just like we're seeing with the diplomatic service that has fired almost all the ambassadors, but in six months of government it has not yet managed to find replacements. Also, Minister Vitita, sunken from the beach in August, apparently has taken on more in the race for mayor of the Pristina municipality than in the position of the health minister. One of the other main reasons is undoubtedly the massiveisation of the Sidvi 19 Delta version, which spreads too quickly and affects the vaccines, while this version of the virus had not yet appeared in Albania during spring.

Kosovo citizens were terrified by the government's mismanagement of the pandemic, Hoti, which to adopt a miserable package of recovery, tried many times in parliament for months, and therefore doubled votes for Vetevendosje. But it seems to Vetevendosje more important that the votes are than the lives lost by the electoral tacticalization of the fight against pandemic. The current government is showing much more inadequacy than that of the LDK, and the numbers of victims of the virus during government are several times higher, even though it is about a year after the launch of pandemic, when the virus is no longer unknown and the medical protocols and effective measures to confront it have already been tested.
