The defendant had long planned what would happen and when he met with Sarah Everard everything that was missing was the victim, the lawyer said.
He had deceived the 33-year-old by stopping her from breaking anti-Condavit rules.
Then he cuffed her and arrested her before leaving London. Couzens then raped him, killed him and burned Everrd's body.
Everard's remains were found in forests in Ashford, Kent, about 60 miles (about 100 km) southeast of London, a week after it disappeared.
