Kosovo is experiencing the most difficult moment since the beginning of Covid 19 pandemic, where 183 victims from this virus were registered in the past week alone, with most affected by the Delta version, which for the first time was confirmed in Kosovo on 29 June of this year.

After more than two months, during which 592 citizens lost their lives from Washington 19, Prime Minister Kurti has taken the time to visit the National Institute of Public Health to thank him for the work they are doing.

We've come here to thank you for the work, commitment and contribution of all employees who have spent 500 days unremittingly contributing to the COVID-19 meeting, and in particular in the weeks when the situation is heavy due to the consequences of the general version delta” he declared.

Failure to administer vaccines

During the last 71 days, Prime Minister Kurti has ignored the serious situation of Covid 19's pandemic by never visiting the Infective Clinic at QKUK, which has been on the front line for the first 500 days of the Covid 19.

In a July 23rd post, Kurti wrote that the pandemic had been brought under control, and the situation had improved markedly.

So the pandemic has been brought under control and the situation has improved significantly. But now we are threatened by the spread of the variant “delta” of the virus. In front of him, the shield for each of us is vaccine, and for all of us, mass vaccination” wrote Prime Minister Kurti on the official Facebook account.

The lack of a literal vaccine campaign, delays in terms, and organisation of work in only one centre for municipality have caused only 18.7% of citizens to be vaccinated with two doses.

Over 130 thousand AstraZeneca vaccines, part of the donation from Norway, were removed due to the deadline's expiration, with Minister Vitita, the blame for not managing these vaccines, la “dezinforms” and media reports on the time of the use of these vaccines.

The Health Ministry, over 60 days from Norway's Accession date of AZ vaccines, administered only 46 thousand vaccines, causing 75% of the donation (133 thousand vaccines) to go to extinction at the time when Kosovo is going through the worst wave of the Davi 19 pandemic.

Health staff muff and government ignoring

The frustrations of doctors, nurses and supporters who have long been serving on the front line in the struggle with pandemic have grown especially after the recent decision on pay extensions, of at least 60 euros, which they claim are offensive.

The FSSHK has sought to meet the heads of institutions since 22 April this year, but they have neither accepted nor refused to meet, while after 13 September, health personnel will have some kind of protest.

“actually yesterday's letters were the last to be sent after the chairmanial Council meeting, which I've actually started with appeals since April 22nd, which means a month after taking the government, when I saw the first signs that they're trying to reduce the additions”, Blerim Syla said today in an interview for Television.

He stressed that they have sent dozens of appeals and letters to the presidency, the Government and the Assembly of Kosovo, but they have never received answers, neither positive nor negative.

We've written to discuss and bring the Law of Salaries to the table for the last time. This Law is in the government's drawers, to be made this year, in order to start implementation in 2022”, Syla said.
