Ministry responsibility: That's what Norwegians told Periscope about expired vaccines.

The 133 thousand doses of the AstreZeneca vaccine, which were accepted as a donation from Norway, expired on August 31, 2021. From the Norwegian Embassy in Pristina they have told Periscope that responsibility for the distribution of these vaccines belonged to the Ministry. Even in the contract that Periscop has secured, the responsibility for the distribution of vaccines was determined by the Ministry [...]

Even in the contract that Periscop has secured, the responsibility for the distribution of vaccines was assigned to the Health Ministry, which is led by Arben Vitita. Periscop has contacted the Norwegian Embassy in the country, and they have provided the following answer:

The Norwegian Embassy in Pristina has no comment on the matter. You pray to contact the Health Ministry responsible for the distribution of vaccines in question. ”

During yesterday, it was reported and then confirmed that 133 thousand doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine had expired. But in fact, some had expired earlier.

The expiration scandal of the vaccine doses' deadline has reinstated political controversy over the guilt of the parties. The Ministry of Health and Vetevendosje are accusing Bekim Haxhiun ʹ opposition MP that he had discouraged the people from taking the vaccine in question quickly.

The contract for these vaccines was signed on June 28th, until 3rd they had come to Kosovo.

Periscope has secured the contract in question.  showing that a portion would have expired even earlier than August 31st. A month early.

Meanwhile, yesterday Minister Arben Vitita said that this is not good news, and this has affected citizens not to take this vaccine.

“Today they've been removed from the 133 thousand AstraZenza vaccine that has expired, this is not good news, and besides that it has contributed to lowering interest in taking this vaccine, and we've repeatedly urged that this vaccine not be solved because we don't have the situation to choose. Since for us the safety of vaccines is paramount and we have had no compromise”, Vitia stressed. /PERISCOP/
