Mejaj at the Adriatic Sea Traditional Defence and Space Fair

Defence Minister Armend Mehaj says equipping and modernising the Kosovo Security Force (FSK) to realise its sustainable responsibilities is among his main operational objectives.

So Mehe said as he participates in the Adriatic Sea's International Defence and Airspace Fair (ASDA).

“The equipment and modernisation of the Kosovo Security Force to realise its sustainable responsibilities is among my main operational objectives. For this reason, at the invitation of my Croatian counterpart, Minister Banosic, along with General Hazrollin, we travelled to Split to attend the Adriatic Sea's Traditional Defence and Airspace Fair (ASDA)”, Mehaj wrote.

He has further said that military purchases and any contracted draft achieved with Kosovo partners will be carried out according to the system of agreement “State-set”.

The military “Bleries and every project contracted to be achieved with our partners for our operational needs, we will make it according to the state-run agreement system. During the three-day visit, besides meeting with Minister Banozic and the highest authorities of the Croatian Defence Industry, I will meet with other counterparts and the highest representatives of the participating countries. The Republic of Croatia is our powerful regional ally and partner with whom we have intensified bilateral co-operation in areas of common interest, and of enormous importance both for regional and wider interest”, he has written.
