On September 6, 1999, the OSCE Mission to Kosovo, in accordance with UN Resolution 1244, has opened the Police School and started training candidates for Kosovo Police members.
The first generation of candidates for members of this service began training at this centre on September 6, 1999. This generation counted 176 members, who successfully completed training and then began conducting police activity on the entire territory of Kosovo as the first police officer of this service.
