In the online panel on dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina. He adds that the solution achieved by force is not sustainable.

Miroslav Lajcak has reiterated that his mandate is to facilitate an agreement on the comprehensive normalisation of relations between Kosovo and Serbia. The process, he says, is in the hands of the two sides, he explains how he understands his mandate.

“Mandati in the process I am leading must bring Kosovo full international recognition, consolidation and control throughout its territory and significant progress in European integration. At the same time, the process must create jobs, develop the economy, and help resolve issues in the rule of law.”, Lajcak said.

He said the European Union does not force anyone to do anything and that the solution achieved by force is not sustainable.

This is not a European Union or Washington deal. An agreement between Kosovo and Serbia on normalising their relations. They must stay behind the deal, explain it to their citizens, protect and implement it. We will do our part of the job, but we must be precise about what kind of process we're talking about”, Lajcak added.

Kosovo rapporteur Violet Von Croamon and Matthew's deputy also spoke on this panel Palmer, Gabriel Escobar.
