After the meeting, Lajcak said he has asked opposition parties for support and be constructive for dialogue. While the AAK leader said he requested a more active US role in the process.

Before journalists, dialogue mediator Lajcak said reaching a comprehensive agreement is good for Kosovo.

“I requested opposition parties' support for dialogue, as reaching a final agreement is in Kosovo's best interests. Opposition parties have experience in dialogue and for me it was important to hear their thoughts. I also believe they will be constructive and I consider these meetings very important and I am satisfied with the results”, Lajcak said.

AAK Chairman Ramush Haradinaj said this party's stance on dialogue is reaching a binding legal, comprehensive agreement on mutual recognition at current borders and without internal interference for Kosovo.

“I explained Mr. Lajcak that issues of such great importance in the Balkans require the direct role of the US and that it is very important the role of President Biden through a special charge, so that such an agreement, not only is successful and implementing, but has the support of all our allies. We remain in favour of dialogue. We have said we will pressure our government so that the quality of the agreement is appropriate, but we do not target the government's deadlock, thus giving the government support to reach a comprehensive legal binding agreement for mutual recognition on the existing borders with Serbia”, Haradinaj stressed.

During the day, Lajcak has met with two other opposition leaders, PDK's Memli Krasniqi and LDK's Lumir Abdixhik.
