Kurti has stressed that this third mandate is also the third opportunity to implement projects that Albanians have always expected on both sides of the border.
He has expressed his full willingness and the Kosovo Government to boost economic co-operation, trade exchange and market integration, removing barriers between Albanians.
Prime Minister Kurti congratulated successes during the government's mandate and invited Prime Minister Rama to visit Kosovo to discuss preparations for the joint meeting of the two governments.
Prime Minister Kurti's full letter:
Your Honor,
In the case of your third-time election, Prime Minister of the Republic of Albania please accept the warmest congratulations in my name and the Government of Kosovo.
Your third mandate comes at a time of challenges. Facing COVID-19, recovery and economic growth and development of democratic institutions are just some of the challenges that require your maximum commitment. The challenges in which the Republic of Albania can count on the unreserved support of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo.
This third mandate is also the third opportunity to implement projects, which Albanians have long been expected on both sides of the border. Increasing economic co-operation and trade exchange and market integration by removing barriers among Albanians in the first place present excellent opportunities for which my government and I remain in full readiness.
I am hoping that in this mandate Albania will see comprehensive progress. Together we can work on advancing democratic principles, fighting crime and corruption, tax evasion and informality on both sides of the border, and engaging in more justice and rights and for more equality and well-being for Albanians throughout the region. Kosovo and its citizens greatly rejoice in Albania's development and progress, which they always have in mind and heart.
In Albania, Kosovo and Albanians everywhere in the region and the world see more than natural supporters in promoting and protecting their rights and full development.
By wishing you success during your government mandate and the pleasure of your excellence visiting Kosovo at a time appropriate for you, and start preparations for the joint meeting of both governments, accept the most sincere greetings and the highest consideration.
