Kurti reveals KFOR's proposal for the north: I hope the solution is found in Brussels today

Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has spoken about today's meeting in Brussels between Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislimi and the director of the so-called office for Kosovo in Serbia's government, Petar Petkovovic, to find a solution to the issue of blocking border points in Jarinje and Brnjak. Kurt said he wished and hoped that [...]
Kurti also indicated the proposal he said received Monday from KFOR Commander General Franco Federici. He said he has been proposed that barricades be removed and members of the Kosovo Special Police Unit be replaced by KFOR members.
As far as I am aware, our deputy prime minister, Besnik Bislimi, will hold separate meetings with emissar Miroslav Lajcak, and then perhaps he will have a meeting with his Serbian counterpart at this meeting. I wish there was a solution. We showed our readiness Monday morning when KFOR commander came to me, who gave a proposal, which was rational and meant removing barricades and replacing special units until a calm of the situation by NATO or KFOR members. The border police would remain in Brnjak or Jarinje, and the tarary reciprocity would continue. We basically accepted this”, Kurt said.
He added that the same proposal was rejected by Serbia.
“In the agreement we have given, we have consulted in advance, me and Minister Svechla, with the Kosovo Police. We agreed, but Serbia has rejected it. Last week, Serbia has rejected the meeting in Brussels, while this week KFOR's proposal”, the prime minister said during the joint conference with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyeen.
