“From September 15th, the Republic of Kosovo has interrupted giving KS signs. Five days after the initial deadline for free movement agreement expired, The MPB today took the necessary actions to seize all illegal billboards within Kosovo territory”, Kurti has said.
He added that no matter what nationality the owners of vehicles with nonvalide signs they are being confiscated.
“On all Kosovo border points carrying Serbian signs and entering Kosovo territory will be equipped with temporary signs. A technical agreement between Kosovo and Serbia has reached 2011 for free movement since then, Kosovo has implemented all dues”, Prime Minister Kurti said.
He added that the actions taken today are not meant to affect the free movement of Serbian citizens or provoke any destabilisation.
“As prime minister, I assure you that actions undertaken today by competent bodies for implementing this have not been directed against Serbian citizens, are not intended to violate free movement of Serbian citizens or to provoke any destabilisation. I expect everyone to understand directly that nothing illegal is happening today, today the implementation of an agreement Serbia” has agreed to, Kurti said.
He urged Serbian citizens to continue the pace of uneasiness and worry that any rights are being violated.
