Kurti has said she has agreed to calm the situation as she added that dialogue is the only way to find a solution.
“Pate a telephone conversation with EU High Representative of Foreign Policy Josep Borrell and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg. There we discussed the rule of law, peace and security, as well as the need for enhancing the situation in northern Kosovo. Dialogue is the only way to find a” solution, Kurti wrote on the social Twitter network.
Otherwise, since the move of reciprocity for Serbia's license plates on September 20th, tensions have increased in northern Kosovo, where Serbian citizens are opposing the move. They have blocked with cars and other means leading to border crossings in Jarinje and Brnjak.
All vehicles with Serbian license plates entering Kosovo must remove plates and set up temporary plates issued by Kosovo authorities. Pristina has said that such a practice is practiced for years by Belgrade.
Borrell has sent a message during the day for the Kosovo Special Forces to withdraw and stop Serbia's military provocations.
