Kurti: Borrell and Lajcak called for meeting in Brussels, we were ready, Belgrade refused

Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, at a media conference, said they have voiced readiness for a meeting with the Serb side in Brussels, following reciprocity with license plates, called by EU High Representative Josep Borrell and his representative for the Western Balkans, Miroslav Lajcak. “We are ready for meetings and talks for [...]
“We are ready for meetings and talks on this issue. Borrell and Lajcak have asked us for readiness to meet in Brussels to hold talks, we have expressed readiness to do so. We are open for meetings in Brussels, but after having received our agreement, they have taken a refusal in Belgrade. This rejection does not help Serbia or Serbs”, Kurti said.
“Talks should not have alternatives or other plans, we are interested in permanent solutions to the movement of citizens between the two states, move with official billboards and offer our citizens a new account”, he said.
During this conference, Kurti called on mayors in the north to remove trucks with which they are blocking roads.
I'm reported that the obstacles leading to the border roads are being done with several trucks that are owned by municipal institutions, and that certainly constitutes violations and misuse of public property. I call on the mayors of municipalities in the north to pull the vehicles of municipal institutions to pull vehicles off the road and also invite the organised group of Serbian citizens to leave the two regional roads because they have thus blocked their own” path.
Among other things, Kurti stressed that this decision is an interest for all and that it has not been against Serbian citizens.
Putting legitimacy in the country is an interest to everyone, so I'm convinced that over time this is what everyone is getting. It is neither a decision nor those measures against someone, or to discriminate against someone, but rather they are all for equal treatment. I have said the decision on provisional plates does not address Kosovo Serb citizens and that they have the full right to be equipped with permanent Kosovo license plates”, Prime Minister Kurti said.
