Today's meeting has been held with the aim of announcing opposition parties' security situation in the country, in particular in northern Kosovo.
“U discussed the situation and developments in the northern part of the Republic of Kosovo, as well as the dedication of the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo in the service of peace and security, constitutionality and legitimacy in the country, said in the announcement of the prime minister's office.
Opposition leaders Krasniqi and Abdixhiku voiced support for the rule of law throughout Kosovo's territory and for the protection of our state's borders.
They also stressed support for the Kosovo Police and other state institutions.
On Saturday, September 25th, the Auto Register Center in Zubin Potok was burned while the Civil Record Center in Zvecan has been attacked.
According to preliminary investigations there were dropped two hand bombs, but which “did not detonate”.
Due to developments in the north, Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani suspended her visit to the United States on 25 September and left for Kosovo.
Earlier Saturday, Kurti declared that the two attacks in the north were deliberate.
“Individuals or groups whose rule of law and order and public security are jeopardizing criminal activity and violating peace. Clearly, they are encouraging and supporting Serbia, the Ottoman regime there, respectively. Unfortunately, in front of the international community, Serbia is using Kosovo citizens to provoke serious international conflict”, Kurti said.
He said such acts would not be tolerated, meanwhile, called on citizens in the country's north to maintain calm and co-operate with institutions.
Earlier Saturday, Interior Minister Jelal Svecla said that despite such actions, the Kosovo government will continue to implement the decision on the measures of reciprocity for plates with Serbia, across the territory of Kosovo.
“These criminal acts show best what would happen at the border points in Jarinje and Brnjak if we did not have the presence of special units to ensure order and security”, Svecla wrote on the social Facebook network.
Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani said Saturday's two attacks in Zubin Potok and Zvecan testify that Serbia is the key source of destabilisation in the region”.
It called on the international community not to ignore what it described as the tendency of Russia and Serbia to destabilise the region and beyond.
Democratic Party of Kosovo Chairman Memli Krasniqi has said the government must take measures to ensure the lives of Kosovo Police members as well as all citizens in northern Kosovo.
“In the responsibility of governance, it's always good for important decisions to have sustainable coordinates and strategies. But, the legitimate decisions of Kosovo institutions, are sovereign decisions of the state of Kosovo, which cannot be blocked, which we cannot construct on our state”, Krasniqi wrote on the social Facebook network.
Regarding the situation in the north, Kosovo Democratic League Chairman Lumir Abdixhiku has also reacted. He has said that the tense situation in the north requires complete unity.
I propose that the prime minister gather the political spectrum in the country, to invite parliamentary parties to the meeting -- the opposition position indiscriminately -- in order to use all of our chapters, the local and the foreign -- to protect our state interests today” -- has written Adabad on Facebook.
Obadiah has called on the international community to act in order to avoid Serbia's threats and tensions in the country's north.
Opposition party leader Ramush Haradinaj, the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, has said the situation in the north is unacceptable.
He has said he supports Kosovo Government and Police.
“The Serbian proposals in the north are designed in Belgrade and Moscow, and Pristina, not falling prey to these provocations, must be placed in defense of its being”, Haradinaj said.
