The creation and strengthening of Kosovo institutions has, over the years, laid the fundamental foundations of functioning as a state. In all of this process, one of the most important elements has been the country's financial and economic stability. Thus, the fiscalisation process, which began in 2010, became one of the main pillars of this financial stability.
Fisscapalism continues to remain a area of special importance today, namely, to preserve this financial stability and to help businesses themselves function long-term, conform legal norms, but also increase their business and partnership with other parties.
The importance of possessing a fiscal arch, or in general terms completing the process of fiscalisation, was discussed Thursday on the Economics in Fokus show, where Valentina Bytyqi Sefa from the Kosovo Tax Administration and Skender Krasniqi from the Kosovo Afarism Oda were invited.
But how the whole process has been going since its launch in 2010. From ATK, three business groups, such as big businesses, medium and small categories, are initially divided.
“The Total of Businesses which have been taxed since the beginning of the fiscalization project are somewhere 36,049 businesses. In addition to this since the beginning of the fiscal fiscal process, we have installed over 48,000 fiscal electronic devices in businesses while currently active somewhere 45.245 fiscal electronics”, says Valentina Bytyqi Sefa from the Kosovo Tax Award.
As for functioning of this fiscal system, conforming existing regulations by ATK say they are working, along with the Ministry of Finance, Labour and Transfers, on preparing the new generation of fiscal crates one bulld which are far more sophisticated. It means reporting data is online, in ATK software and their access is faster.
For Skender Krasniqi from the Kosovo Afarism Oda, the potential for actual fiscalisation is much more favourable since companies offering these equipment are already offering low prices.
And we at the Afarism Oda at the first point of our strategy are fighting informality, and this is done with fiscalization, increasing fiscalization, and increasing statements because in this way there are regular businesses from irregularly, and unfair businesses are the ones that have damaged the market and led it to a poor market state, as a result of this is the interest of having the largest fiscalization to grow more” said Snder Krasniqi.
The report also discussed the importance of field controls, and it was mentioned that the situation of Covid 19, has markedly affected the normal functioning of this institution, in addition to this aspect, but it has influenced businesses and their incomes.
The show also mentions the importance of legal and normative stability that regulates the fiscalisation process, with the specific emphasis on advancing this system, on these legal standards so that the process can be completed successfully.
Kosovo is a good model for the sustainability of this process, compared to other countries. Its further advantage is the basis for successful completion of this process.
