Alliance for the Future of Kosovo MP (AAK), Time Kadriaj, is praising that the decision on reciprocity for license plates with Serbia would have to be made at a more appropriate time.
According to her, the government should not use this decision for election campaigning.
Kadriaj, in a proposal, says the moves being made by Serbia in the direction of Kosovo's borders are a threat to destabilising the situation.
This Government has promoted the matter of reciprocity. If this election campaign period had to be decided, when national elections are held or in the phase that is now the next round of talks but decided on a more appropriate period, because some time ago it has removed reciprocity for the rules in which it has allowed Serbia to expert on which business harms, and I am hoping that this is not the issue of the election campaign, but has decided to place<1>.
She has thanked Kosovo Police members, who, according to her, are protecting the state's integrity.
Kadriaj hopes that for a situation in the north, the government is in full co-ordination with the states of the CUNIT.
Because this is this situation I want to thank the Kosovo Police because they haven't hesitated to be in the service of our homeland, and with this professional police we shouldn't back off, but we have to stick to decisions on protecting integrity”.
...the movements being made by the Government of Serbia is a threat to Kosovo's borders and the destabilisation that are urging it to happen in Kosovo, which Kosovo does not agree I think this government is in discussions with the QUINT countries”.
Kosovo had warned and established the reciprocity measure for the plates during the latest round of dialogue with Serbia, mediated by the European Union. Placing reciprocity on the license plate sparked tensions in the north.
The issue of car plates was regulated by the Brussels Free Movement Agreement, reached in July 2011, within dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia.
