President Vjosa Osmani, Prime Minister Albin Kurti and former President Atifete Jahjaga have inaugurated the Children's Hospital in Pristina today.
The agreement on the construction of this hospital was signed by former President Jahjaga in 2015 with the United Arab Emirates.
Former President Jahjaga announces on Facebook:
“Today, we inaugurated the Children's Hospital in Pristina. The trip from 2015, when the deal for launching the project was signed, a generation donation of 22 million euros of the United Arab Emirates, up to today's inauguration was long and challenging. But the powerful will gave us patience and helped us to overcome all obstacles. I am extremely grateful to the United Arab Emirates and the royal family for their steadfast support of Kosovo, the welfare of our people and their future. Construction of the Children's Hospital is, of course, a powerful sign of the friendship and partnership we have with the United Arab Emirates. Together, we lived a dream by implementing a modern and sophisticated project that will facilitate hospital treatment for children and save the state millions of Euros previously spent on healing patients abroad. Children are our future, and investing in their welfare is necessary! We're going to give the sick kids a smile, and their parents' smile, and we're going to return hope and trust to the state, and in our international alliances”, Jahjaga wrote.
