He said that neither in the government that has led him has there ever been dilemma concerning co-operation with the United States.
“It's a huge damage to opening dilemmas whether the network should be built that enables Kosovo access to gas. In the 2014-2017 government, conditions have been met for Kosovo to become part of the MCC. And it has been several years since the MCC, along with Kosovo institutions, has done the necessary research on diversification of energy resources, including gas supply”.
“Over the time I was prime minister, we have finalised the list of projects to be included in financing from the MCC, which is based on pre-afibility studies. The list has also included the gas access network in northern Macedonia. Neither in my Government have we ever had a dilemma for co-operation with the US”.
Hoti stressed that instead of moving forward with the gas project, the debate on re-compliance of TC Kosova A, which is environmentalist cancer, opens.
The “is a huge damage that now opens these dilemmas, in particular after President Biden has announced to Congress that he has allocated $200m for MCC projects in Kosovo. Instead of moving forward with the gas project, the debate on re-compliance of TC Kosova A, which is environmentalist” opens.
The project of gas has an economic and geopolitical dimension. It seems that none of these dimensions are being understood enough or are being ignored by the current government”.
