Hoti: Lajcak offered full access to Kosovo state archives

The head of the Kosovo delegation for talks on missing persons' issues, Andy Hoti, has provided details about the two-day visit to Brussels of the Kosovo and Serbian delegations to clarify the fate of the found. Hoti through a Facebook status, said Lajcak was invited to access [...]

Hoti through a Facebook status, Lajcak has said he has been invited for full access to Kosovo state archives in order to remove any doubts they may have about their “setting aside for KLA archives”.

Kosovo's “Archarchies have been and are open, so the agreement is in our interest because it only enables access to Serbia's military archives, which is the main barrier to whitening the fate of our most loved ones”, has written among other things Hoti.

Hoti also says they have sought full access to Serbia's territory for research into mass cemeteries or any information we have about whiteening the fate of missing persons.

This is his full status:

Dear family of people who were forcibly missing,

Dear citizens,

After a two-day visit to Brussels, let me inform you about the delegation's meeting and commitments led by Zv. Prime Minister. Faithful Bislimi, to the dawn of the fate of our most missing loved ones.

The first meeting was held in the middle of Mr. Miroslav Lajcak, Mr. Faithful Bislimi, and me as Chairman of the Government Commission for Missing Persons.

The second meeting was held in the middle of Mr. Lajcak, Mr. Faithful Bislimi and Mr. Petkovic.

Both meetings have discussed these topics:

It's been announced to Mr. Lajcak concerning the process to date, the progress and challenges we are facing in whitening out the fate of our most loved ones;

We've demanded that these people's fate be treated as a question of consciousness and humanity;

We've requested intensification of co-operation in information exchange, added dynamics of our meetings, even for every month, not just twice a year as it has been until now;

We have also called for guarantees, increased pressure on Serbia and deadlines for the process, because dawning the fortunes of the found cannot allow it to drag on indefinitely;

Since Serbia has been organised at the state level with police and police and military forces, as well as paramilitary units that have killed and massacred sides of Kosovo, forcibly kidnapping and disappearing thousands, we have sought full access to Serbia's state archives, especially in army and police archives during wartime in Kosovo;

After agreeing to the archives, we have offered full co-operation and have invited Mr. Lajcak for full access to Kosovo's state archives, in order to remove any doubts they may have regarding their accuracy in the KLA archives. Kosovo archives have been and are open, so the agreement is in our interest because it only enables access to Serbia's military archives, which is the main barrier to whitewashing the fate of our most loved ones.

Likewise, we have requested full access to Serbia's territory for the research of mass cemetery or any information we have about whiteening the fate of missing persons;

We have requested immediate delivery of DNA reports, following the identification of troops from the mass cemetery in Chizevac, so that family members will be notified, as well as the urgent reportation of troops to Kosovo.

This announcement is being made to inform the families of missing persons by force concerning our discussions and requests in Brussels, as well as to avoid any misconception or misunderstanding that could appear in communications through the media.

Politicalisation of this issue, and especially of our meetings in Brussels, does not do anyone a favor and does not help the process and sensitivity that this subject has.

I hope in the understanding and cooperation of the political spectrum when 1632 people are being questioned.
