“Kosovo has adhered to this agreement and has taken an action in line with it”, the former prime minister said.
According to him, the application of this move is in Kosovo's right, while expressing criticism of the government Kurti, saying he has taken co-ordinated action with international partners.
The problem is that a lot of the international factor is not being sensitive. This action with international partners has not been co-ordinated, to make it known that Kosovo is respecting the agreement that we are entering the end of the agreement and Kosovo is obliged to act in accordance with the law and in respect of the agreement. A situation arose, which seemed to surprise our partners, which should not have happened, because each action has been fully co-ordinated with the international partners”, he added to Euronews Albania.
Hoti says Prime Minister Kurti has acted without clear plans and without co-ordination with partners.
According to the former prime minister, friendly countries have given Kosovo the right to the reciprocity application, but have expressed reservations about government acts Kurti.
“Absolutely not, no one is criticising the government's move there, but rather the opposition has supported the government's move. The problem is that step has been taken without a clear plan, without a clear and co-ordinated strategy with the international partners to complete this issue. The reactions we have seen in friendly countries give the right to Kosovo in the north that it has undertaken, but the lack of preliminary co-ordination for this action” is stressed, he said.
He emphasises that the reciprocity issue may affect, in the process of dialogue in Brussels, not to be discussed for final agreements, which means mutual recognition between the two states, but that all this approach adds Hoti can be channeled into discussions on technical agreements.
