US Vice President Kamala Harris has announced the telephone conversation he had with Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani yesterday.
Through a post on the official site, Harris said they agreed with Osman to continue strengthening the important report. US-Kosovo.
It was a pleasure to speak with President Vjosa Osmani yesterday to express thanks to our nation Kosovo for the shelter of significant Afghans at Camp Bonsteel. We agreed to continue empowering the important US report Kosovo”, Harris wrote.
Otherwise, Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani has held a telephone conversation with US Vice President Kamala Harris.
Osmani said he talked to Vice President Harris about the matter of housing Afghan citizens who fled the Taliban.
“Vice President Harris stressed that the US is deeply grateful to Kosovo for the close co-operation and willingness and generosity shown for the hospitality of thousands of Afghan citizens”, said the announcement issued by Osman's office.
Kosovo has expressed readiness to house nearly 2,000 Afghans, who have collaborated with US and NATO forces. So far, around 500 Afghans have been sheltered in Kosovo.
During this telephone conversation, it has also been discussed on the issue of pandemic, where Osmani has expressed thanks for the donation of over half a million doses of Pfizer vaccines, which the US has started sending to Kosovo.
