Haliti says Vuciq is seeking to form association before elections

He has commented on the Kosovo Government's action in the country's north, saying that increasing tensions came on Serbia's part and that with one purpose.

We need to remember that sometimes we think that only agreements involving our individualistic goals and interests are important and that others are not. They have another problem. Aleksandar Vuciqi is very much interested in forming what the Serb majority of municipalities are telling Vetevendosje before the elections. He has also said that the situation in the north is being used by the VV for internal electoral purposes in Kosovo, as local elections will be held on 17 October.

“Government Kurti is making good use of the election campaign, but other parties have also given support to this issue in order to solve the license plate problem because it is an agreement signed several years ago”.

The U.S. “cannot disagree. I have information as far as he [Albin Kurti] has contacts, met him and met him constantly because he is prime minister of the country. Maybe to hit him politically, they might say there's a crash, but I'd love to hear that from the Americans”.

Haliti has added that any action in the north of the country should be done in full consultation with Americans.

“It must be known that anyone who clashes with Americans conflicts with the interests of the Albanian people, not only in Kosovo but wherever they are. Against the interests of the Albanian people, no one dares act, not Albini or anyone else, especially when the US is questioned”.
