Greek diplomat predicts recognition of Kosovo by Greece

Greek diplomat Alexandros Mallias, in an opinion published in the prestigious Greek newspaper “Kathmerini” has talked about developments in the Western Balkans and also reports between Greece and the Republic of Kosovo. Mallias, who has also served as Greece's ambassador to the United States, has said that intensifying reports between Pristina and Athens and the road following Greek top diplomat Nikos Dendias will probably eventually be finalised with recognition.
“Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Dendias, launched a high-level dialogue between Greece and the Republic of Kosovo. At the end of the road, there's probably going to be”, Mallias wrote.
He in his opinion says such a development would draw Greece closer to the Albanian factor and would certainly shake Turkey's primat.
Much has been discussed recently for the work of recognising Kosovo by Greece. That has prompted harsh reactions from Belgrade, who have prayed for the Greek state not to take such a step.
