Visar Ymer from the Institute for Social Policy “Mousine Koklari” has said that the Kurti governance is not having the ability to deal parallel to other problems Kosovo has.
The former VV head says the focus should be on managing pandemic and consequences from measures taken by the executive.
Of course, the pandemic is connected to two things, one is with economic activity on one side and then on the other. I think these are also trying to balance by this governance, but not every time it can be effective and successful because it needs to be focused at certain times, like right now, more on public health than it does the other”, Ymer said.
The problem I have with this government and not only is that during the time they face a problem they are not dealing with other problems at the same time. For example, if you close businesses, cut schedules, close citizens with police hours, keep in mind that the number of people there is halved because you're halved, number of people then lose their jobs because they don't need businesses because they don't need them and you can't close the place that was protected by Ovidius and don't protect people from the loss of a job”, he added.
Even political connoisseur Arbnor Sadiku has said that important topics like the Alban Forum in Austria have remained under the shadow of the pandemic recently.
He considers that the pandemic left the issue of association with Serb majority municipalities and other topics of daily governance out of focus.
“Of course there have been important topics, we have had the Albah Forum, which is a forum held in Austria and brings together all presidents, diplomats and foreign ministers where the future of foreign policy in general of the countries and the states of the European Union and beyond”, Sadiku told EO.
“Then we have had the sixth anniversary of the establishment of the Association of Serb Majorities that has been approved by the Kosovo Assembly, which has been a topic that has not been really implemented in a practical sense, yet it has been a topic that I consider should be discussed more broadly in the public opinion of Kosovo”, he added.
Then some other topics for day-to-day Government such as managing public finance and other topics involving the daily life of Kosovo citizens”, he has said of the EO.
