Victims of the Ring Massacre exhumed by mass cemetery in Kizevac, Serbia, will be repatriated to the Republic of Kosovo on September 30th 2021, announces the Government Commission on Missing Persons.
The Government Commission of the Republic of Kosovo for Missing Persons, in co-ordination with families, has consistently demanded that the repatriation of these bones occur as soon as possible.
Based on identification reports, remains exhumed in Chizevac belong to seven new identifications from the Rhesall massacre, as well as two reunions with remains exhumed years ago by the mass cemetery in Rudnica, Raska, Serbia.
The repatriation of the victims' mortar remains will be realised in co-operation with the support of families, the Institute of Legal Medicine, the Kosovo Police, the War Crimes Sector, the Defence Ministry and the International Committee of the Red Cross”, the Government Commission for Missing Persons reports.
