Geci through a Facebook status has expressed his readiness to become available again in defence of the country.
He has indicated that in 1998 he had openly said that “was not a soldier of Bujar Bukoshi, but was a soldier of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo”.

Dear friends, in 1998 at a meeting with some KLA leaders, in the village of Rezall I have openly declared that I am not a soldier of Bujar Bukoshi, but I am a soldier of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, even though I am now about 23 years older and now I am repeating the same. I am not a soldier of Albin Kurt, but I am available to become a soldier of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo.
